Deputy city manager Bernadette Harvill presented both applications and said each establishment meets the city's criteria for a full-service restaurant (minimum seating percentage and food-sales ratio) and is applying for on-premises consumption of wine, malt beverages and distilled spirits as well as Sunday sales. For Celtic Rising, Harvill noted the application is a result of new ownership and includes a request for resident-caterer privileges.
Harvill said required public-notice advertising ran in the Milton Herald and that the required property posting was in place. There were no in-person public comments on either hearing item.
Council members moved to approve each license (agenda items 26-072 and 26-073) and both motions passed unanimously. The council did not attach special conditions during the approvals.
The licenses allow the named businesses to pursue state licensing and operate with the approved on-premises alcohol privileges under Milton municipal requirements.
