Consultants and city staff presented final findings of a two‑phase recreation center feasibility study to the College Station City Council on Aug. 28, concluding that a full‑service indoor recreation center could meet demonstrated demand but requires further scoping before the city asks voters for funding.
Kelsey Hayden, parks and recreation project lead, introduced the report and the consulting team, which said the study combined a statistically valid household survey (455 responses), community engagement and site assessment.
