Board approves consent agenda and personnel items; special-education hire introduced

The Baldwin-Whitehall School District board approved multiple consent items and personnel recommendations at the meeting, with recorded votes of 7–0 and two absences on several motions.

The board approved consent business items 2.2 through 2.7 on a motion and recorded the item as passing "seven-zero with 2 absent." The superintendent recommended approval of the personnel items (4.2 through 4.22) and the board again recorded passage by a 7–0 vote with two absent. The board also approved non-personnel consent items numbered 6.2 through 6.11 by the same margin.

Among personnel actions, the board approved the appointment of Sienna Crosby as a special-education teacher at Lutz Elementary (as listed on the agenda). Superintendent Doctor Lutz invited Crosby to the podium to say a few words and welcomed her to Baldwin-Whitehall.

Other items: Operations staff reported a donation was received to cover delinquent student lunch balances; when asked who received credits, operations director Mister Trepak said, "The person who donated the money selected who that who would be paid."
