The Evanston City Council voted to approve Resolution 22-02, renewing a SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) service agreement with WETCO Inc. for maintenance of the city’s water and wastewater treatment plant control systems.
City attorney Dennis Bole introduced the resolution and told councilors he had reviewed the contract and saw no substantive changes. "Other than that, there's no changes in the contract," Bole said. Councilors had no further discussion and approved the renewal by voice vote.
The renewal covers maintenance services for SCADA systems at both the wastewater treatment plant and the water treatment plant. The resolution did not include contract dollar amounts or an implementation timetable in the meeting discussion; councilors instructed staff to proceed with the renewal as written.
The motion to adopt Resolution 22-02 was seconded and approved by voice vote; no roll-call tally was recorded in the transcript.
