Niagara‑Wheatfield board recognizes January graduates and Falcons of the Month

The Niagara‑Wheatfield Central School District opened its March 4 meeting with student recognitions. Principal Marucha administered the certification for January graduates and Superintendent Olanich introduced the district’s Falcons of the Month.
Principal Marucha said the students had met New York State requirements and asked the graduates to rise for recognition. Superintendent Olanich read the district certificate language and invited students to come forward to receive plaques and pins. Students named for Falcons of the Month included Emerald Rickard, Julia Gunnison, Gabriel Rugevski, Millie Prenta, Calvin Shermans, Leanne Chetan, Juliana Schlitz, Ken Robinson, Dylan Phillips, Alessandra Patterson and Oliver Lyon.
Superintendent Olanich called these recognition nights among his favorites, and Principal Marucha asked the audience to give the students a round of applause. The board recessed briefly afterward for refreshments and photos.
