Resident urges Mount Clemens to revive ad hoc committee to study mineral bath industry

During the meeting's public-comment period, resident Eric Rick urged the commission to restart work on a master-plan item that he said would evaluate reinvigorating Mount Clemens' mineral bath industry. "I noticed item ED17, which is established ad hoc committee to evaluate reinvigorating mineral bath industry, has been kinda sitting there untouched since it was added back in 2015," Rick said. He suggested 2022 could be the year to get the effort moving now that downtown is seeing increased activity.
The commission did not take action on the comment during the meeting; city staff previously noted the item remains listed in planning materials.
