Council approves emergency storm declaration, sewer easement and MAP grant application; consent agenda passes

Council then approved Resolution 19-2026, granting a sewer easement at 32 Ponds View so a resident may connect to the public sewer off Matson Road. The council recorded the easement action as a formal resolution and approved it by voice vote.
The council also approved Resolution 20-2026 to submit a MAP (DCED) grant application for an update to the township comprehensive plan. The project cost was described as approximately $155,000 with the MAP program requiring a 50% local match.
In addition, the council approved its consent agenda, which included the Feb. 3, 2026 public meeting minutes; total expenditures of $822,207.42 (February payroll $240,056.61; current bills $268,119.55; sewer bills $314,031.26); certificate of payment #56 (final payment of $23,440 to Guy M. Cooper for the sewer fire suppression system) and financial release #7 (final release to Astoria Chaz Ford for $3,449.78); and several appointments and resignations (alternate Zoning Hearing Board solicitor Michael Sheridan, Library Board appointment Saleem Shaikh, Zoning Hearing Board appointment Joseph Barbato, resignations from Tony Schuhan and Sharon Motawi).
