Grand Prairie staff present bicycle master plan update, highlight safety and connectivity priorities

The Grand Prairie Planning and Zoning Commission heard an update on the city’s Bicycle Master Plan on Dec. 9 as staff described a project list intended to guide bicycle investments, advance city goals and improve regional connectivity.
Miss Clark, the staff presenter, said the plan began in 2024 and that 2025 was spent on data collection, research, public meetings and four pop-up community events. "We wanted to get the commission just an update on the project, kind of, the development of the project, what it is, and then where we're at in the process," she said. Staff reported more than 3,000 website views and two rounds of public meetings as part of outreach.
