Kelly explained the changes did not require a new appropriation and would streamline administration in light of the larger Minnesota GI Bill and more recent higher-education benefit changes.
Representative Hill moved to re-refer House File 3741 to the general register, and the committee approved the motion by voice vote. The bill will proceed to the register for further consideration.
