Officials report most convention center project hires filled; a few vacancies tied to civil-service lists remain

The committee received an update Feb. 26 on hiring tied to the Los Angeles Convention Center expansion.
Richard Louie of the Bureau of Engineering said the BOE had 13 approved positions for the project; 10 are filled, two are in the interview process and one is pending because a civil service list must be established before appointment. "Out of those 13 positions, 10 are filled. 2, the interview process is in progress. And 1, the interview process is pending," Louie said.
