Council reconsiders, corrects technical errors in R2026-109 for tourism promotion area hotel commission

Miss Long briefed the council on the two technical corrections: replacing an incorrect hotel name in a recital (changing the Marriott Tacoma downtown reference to Courtyard by Marriott Tacoma) and changing "first term" to "second term" for an appointee named Blue Bratton.
Julie Murray and staff explained the importance of accurate staggered terms for commission stability and noted a broader internal review of how staggered terms are assigned when vacancies occur. The amendment was adopted by voice vote and the council subsequently adopted the amended resolution by roll call (6 ayes, 0 nays).
Council members heard a brief public comment period; no additional Zoom comments were raised. The amended resolution corrects administrative errors and confirms appointments.
