The Guthrie City Council unanimously approved the final subdivision plat for Guthrie Farms Phase 3, a 90.57-acre addition of 183 lots that completes a larger 382-lot development. Staff said the planning commission recommended approval with the standard conditions that improvements be installed or a bond posted before any lots are recorded.
“As indicated, this is the final plat for Guthrie Farms, their phase 3,” Kasik, a planning presenter, told the council, and he explained that prior phases accounted for about half of the development; with approval the developer will finish the remaining lots. Council members confirmed that required improvements and recording steps will be enforced before building permits or lot sales proceed.
At the same meeting the council also confirmed two appointments: Lisa New was unanimously appointed to fill an unexpired term on the Guthrie Housing Authority Board of Commissioners through Aug. 31, 2028; and Steven Harrison was reappointed to a three-year term on the Guthrie Planning Commission (term ending 2029). The chair noted both appointees bring relevant experience to their roles.
The planning department will track completion of required improvements, ensure bonds or certificates of completion are in place and verify that plats are filed appropriately with the county clerk prior to any lot-level permitting.
