Economic development manager Bill Neundorf told the Edina HRA on Feb. 5 that a business supported with a Spark forgivable loan has met its contract obligations and staff will move forward with final paperwork.
Neundorf said the agreement (entered in 2023) pertains to an underground basement bar and music venue at 50th and France that is now open for business. “They met the obligations in the agreement and were ready to issue the certificate of completion, which means that then I’ll submit a check request to finance, and we’ll issue them the loan,” Neundorf said.
No board action was required; the item was presented as an update and the HRA did not take additional formal steps during the Feb. 5 meeting.
