The Oshkosh Sustainability Advisory Board approved a migratory‑bird resolution at its March 2 meeting and confirmed city plans for an Oshkosh Bird Fest on May 2 at Menominee Park.
The chair presented the migratory‑bird day resolution and noted the national World Migratory Bird Day falls on May 9; the local Bird Fest will be held May 2 to precede the national observance. A member moved to approve the Bird City resolution; a second was recorded and the board approved the motion by voice vote. (Chair and Committee member (S8)).
Board members encouraged attendance for the early‑morning bird‑watching portion (6 a.m. start) and noted it will run through noon. No amendments to the resolution were proposed at the meeting.
The resolution will be forwarded as part of the board’s regular updates; the board continues to coordinate related outreach and events leading up to the May dates.
