She said the district has used TouchMath on a small scale in some classrooms in the past, but this is effectively a new, district‑level contract.
Turnitin: Mrs. Taylor reported Turnitin remains the plagiarism‑detection tool at the district's three high schools and noted a vendor price increase this year as well as the addition of an AI‑detection feature; she said the district has used Turnitin for about 15 years.
Nutrition and vending: Missus Danella proposed a slushy program using a 100% juice, no‑dye product that requires minimal labor, machines and maintenance provided by the vendor. She said the district's cost for a 12‑ounce serving would be about $1.15 and the planned sale price $2.50, and that the program would start in six schools (Bernard Campbell excluded for lack of electrical capacity).
Soap procurement: Mrs. Battaglia presented a competitive bid for foaming hand soap; five responses were received and staff recommended PureZone (noting vendor names were corrected during the presentation). She said the district spends about $38,000 per year on soap and uses roughly 100 cases per month; dispensers are included in the recommendation.
