The board reviewed a draft job description adapted from neighboring counties and York County's clerk; commissioners agreed to advertise the role with an initial compensation of $20,000 annually, to run the application window into mid-to-late June and to add a specific duty to help update and maintain the county's comprehensive plan (noted as a decennial task).
Separately, Tristan (speaker 8) told the board the county was approved for both the CV and EB juvenile diversion grants and the amounts were being combined into a $75,071 request to simplify administration; the board approved accepting the award and authorized required signatures when the formal paperwork arrives.
The board also amended a prior resolution (Resolution 22-39) concerning a $20,000 transfer to juvenile diversion, striking language that required repayment in the current budget year because the county lacks budget authority to force that reimbursement; the amendment leaves the funds in place and allows the board to address reimbursement during the next budget cycle.
Commissioners said the hires and grant funding are intended to support upcoming zoning work, program staffing and continuity for juvenile diversion services.
