The Faribault Public School District Policy Committee on Tuesday voted to forward a set of reviewed policies and proposed revisions to the full school board.
The committee chair opened the meeting, confirmed a quorum and led approval of the agenda before moving through the packet under the district’s three‑year review schedule. On voice votes the committee approved forwarding the following items to the school board with no changes: Policy 504 (student dress and appearance), Policy 505 (distribution of non–school‑sponsored materials on school premises by students and employees), Policy 527 (student use and parking of motor vehicles; patrols, inspections and searches) and Policy 605 (alternative education services).
Several other items were considered as revisions tied to Minnesota School Boards Association (MSBA) model language and state statutory updates; those items are reported in separate committee actions and include Policies 406, 503 and 520 (see separate reports). The committee announced no new policies and set the next meeting for April 7, 2026, at 3:45 p.m.
The committee did not record detailed roll call tallies for several routine approvals; where the transcript records a tally, it is noted in the separate articles for those items.
