The council approved purchasing committee recommendations for two procurement items on Nov. 18.
The first was an on-call engineering services contract (RFP 2026-02). Purchasing staff reported eight responses and recommended awarding on-call services to a group of firms (short list included Beta Group, Fuss & O’Neil, Carr Corporation, and GZA GeoEnvironmental) for work not to exceed $20,000; the contract was recommended to include a sunset at the end of the town’s fiscal year to allow future competition.
The second item was the town calendar printing (RFP 2026-06). Indiana Printing & Publishing was the low bidder at $7,923.04. The town administrator reported that sponsorships of about $6,000 were available to offset the cost, bringing the town’s net expected cost to under $2,000.
Motions to approve both items were moved, seconded and carried by the council. Staff will finalize contracts and track sponsorship revenue as noted.
