Ginnie Mae outlines MyGinnieMae onboarding steps: two org admins, role requests and agency finalization
Summary
Ginnie Mae staff advised issuers that creating a MyGinnieMae user requires two organization administrators (one to create and one to approve and request roles), immediate role requests, and Ginnie Mae finalization—usually within 24 hours; token/name mismatches (HUD Form 11702/RSA token) can block privileged access.

Kristen Duda (service desk coordinator) and Leticia (Ginnie Mae staff) walked attendees through the MyGinnieMae onboarding and functional-role approval process. Kristen described a two-step flow: an org admin sends a registration email and a second org admin must approve the registration and request functional roles; then another org admin approves those role requests so the account can be fully enabled.
Kristen warned that many helpdesk tickets occur when roles are not requested or approved after registration: "A user will not be enabled to perform any operations in MyGinnieMae portal until they have at least 1 appropriate functional role associated with their account." Leticia added that Ginnie Mae must finalize role approvals before an account can access applications and said that finalization is usually completed within 24 hours: "Generally, we batch them every day ... just give us a little bit longer, today to get that done, and then that person will be able to have access."
Leticia also cautioned about changing an org admin's name when an RSA token (HUD Form 11702) is linked: name/token mismatches can prevent privileged account access. Participants were advised to contact the service desk for assistance and to consult the functional-role matrix posted on GinnieMae.gov.
