Commissioners discussed whether neon lighting is appropriate for a site that is not heavily used at night and suggested including interpretive signage or a QR code so viewers can read the concept narrative; staff confirmed electrical access is available at candidate locations and that benches are mobile and could be relocated. Commissioner 3 moved for Concept B and the commission passed the motion by voice vote.
The commission asked staff to finalize details including siting, power access and interpretive materials as the project moves to implementation.
