BURLINGTON — During public comment, Ron Walker urged the council to revisit the town’s transportation improvement plan, saying the north side of town experiences heavy congestion and that planned connections such as the Northern Loop and an extension of Glencoe Road should be reconsidered in light of new housing development.
Walker said he worked on the town’s earlier transportation improvement plan and asked council to review it regularly; he described several development proposals and said Glencoe Road was intended to provide relief that has not yet been completed.
Council did not take formal action on the request at the meeting; the comment was entered into the public record for staff attention.
