BURLINGTON — The Burlington City Council voted to annex four city‑owned parcels on Tuesday night, bringing the Greeson Lane right of way, Guilford McIntosh Park & Marina, the University Commons city lot and the Valley Golf Course formally into the city limits.
Jamie Lawson, director of planning and development services, told the council these properties are contiguous to existing city boundaries and are being annexed because the city already owns and maintains them. Lawson said the annexations are administrative and that maps established by licensed surveyor work (meets and bounds) would be sent to the Secretary of State as part of the normal process.
