Three Paris council candidates declared elected as unopposed

The City Secretary reported that three candidates were running unopposed in their categories, and the Paris City Council approved an ordinance declaring them elected.
Janice told the council, "Renee Stone is running unopposed and so is Benny Plata in 3 and Clayton Pilgrim in 6." The city secretary asked the council to approve an ordinance declaring the candidates unopposed and elected to office; the council did so and congratulated Renee Stone.
The secretary said the new terms will begin May 11 after the canvass of other elections. The council recorded the motion, second and approval on the item; the transcript does not include a roll-call tally of votes.
