Anna said Resolution 16004 would appoint election judges for a special election on April 14 to fill a vacant county commissioner seat; Resolution 16005 would disclose surplus property at the wastewater plant; and Resolution 16006 would support pursuing a Minnesota Environment and Natural Resources Trust Fund (ENRTF) grant to fund an accessible recreational opportunities project at Otter and Camel Lakes.
A public hearing is scheduled for an intoxicating liquor license application from Hutchinson Diversified Partners, which Anna identified as the new owners of Flanks Grill and Bar at the Days Inn. Anna said Chief Gifferson will present the Hutchinson Police Department’s 2025 year‑end report, also on the agenda.
Under new business, Anna described an item asking the council to set a "market error" for the upcoming 2026 wage study — the city’s periodic review to check staff wages against market benchmarks. The council also will consider a land donation from Merrill Wenland and whether to reschedule the April 14 meeting; state law bars city councils from holding public hearings between 6 and 8 p.m. on election dates, Anna said, so the council may set an earlier time or pick another day.
