Grow America reports stronger-than-expected parking revenue, outlines garage repairs and operational fixes

Jake Seal, asset manager with Grow America, presented a quarterly parking update to the city council caucus, saying year-end parking revenues through December exceeded budget by about $313,000 and outlining a package of repair, maintenance and operational follow-ups for the city’s garages.

Seal told councilors that two commercial retail spaces remain vacant — the former Colosseum unit at the Medallion Garage and a storefront at the Linden Garage — and that early tenant talks are underway for the Linden space after it returned from an eviction. He said several lease renewals are proceeding, including a two-year renewal for Comics on the Green and a five-year option the owner of Catch '21 plans to exercise in March; Moravia Health’s lease expires in September.

On capital projects, Seal said a sewer pipe serving the Medallion parking office is in design and will be bid soon; the office restrooms remain out of service while the fix is scheduled and funds are identified in the ’26 budget.
