They violated the Washington State Constitution," and said they would pursue court action if the board did not act.
The chair reminded the audience that the board does not respond during the public comment section; no substantive response or board action on the petition was recorded in the meeting minutes. The resident characterized state agency actions (referring to "ecology") as "attacking us on so many different levels" and urged the county to insist upon adherence to the U.S. and Washington state constitutions. The resident said they had contacted a dozen counties and would seek judicial remedies.
The board moved into executive session following public comment.
