Emigration Canyon commission approves Juniper Ridge preliminary plat with conditions amid neighbor objections

The Emigration Canyon Planning Commission on Thursday approved the preliminary plat for the Juniper Ridge subdivision (SUV2025-001345), voting unanimously to condition approval on the completion of required public‑improvement work or the posting of a bond and several additional plat notes.

Chair Tim Harps opened the meeting and allowed a limited public comment period before staff and commissioners discussed the application. Applicant Evan Glassman told the commission the project meets codes and ordinances and said, "There are absolutely no modifications or allowances being requested this morning." He described his background in art and design and said engineers on the team had addressed technical issues.
