"You have the ability then to remove already ad advertised, agenda items," S3 said, adding concern that the change might allow advertised items to be omitted without follow‑up.
S5 and other members clarified the draft’s intent: the revision allows removal of items from the agenda at a meeting but does not authorize adding substantive new items during a meeting. S5 said new business remains a forum for discussion without motions or resolutions. The commission also discussed how to publish and amend the annual schedule; one commissioner recommended using the word “regular” and publishing a schedule that can be republished or amended later.
Committee member (S4) moved to approve the bylaws with the single word change in Article 5, section 2 (replace “monthly” with “regular”), and the motion passed by voice vote with the membership present (one member absent). The chair (S1) called the motion and announced the adoption.
