County declares surplus office equipment; board approves claims and receipts NERMA grant adjustment

A commissioner moved to surplus three metal desks, one corner desk, one storage table, two HP OfficeJet Pro printers and one Dell monitor; the motion was seconded and passed by roll call.
Members discussed whether the printers should be declared obsolete for disposal rather than surplus and agreed surplus designation first, with the option to declare items obsolete later if no interest is found.
During claims discussion, staff reported a NERMA grant issue: an email had been deleted when the county filed a request, and NERMA provided $2,500 for security items because the county had already exceeded a $15,000 limit for that category. A board member thanked staff for resolving the issue; staff confirmed panic bars and related security work are operational.
The board then moved, seconded and approved payment of presented claims by roll-call vote and adjourned at about 09:40.
