At the May meeting, the Shenandoah Municipal Development District approved several routine and fiscal items.
Directors adopted a resolution to add Barry Millicent as an authorized check signer for MDD bank and investment accounts. The board then elected Ron Raymaker president, Jim Wallace vice president, and Joanna Gonzales secretary to fill officer vacancies left by Byron Beavers’ departure. Both actions were approved by unanimous voice vote.
On a funding motion related to the David Memorial project, staff explained that the city had funded a change order previously so a contractor could be paid. Staff reported contract savings and a county reimbursement that would reduce the MDD’s net obligation; the board approved a motion to reimburse the city $227,000. Finally, members moved to ratify the accounts payable for May 2024; that ratification passed without opposition.
Each vote was recorded in the meeting as approved by the board; staff will record the officer changes in MDD records, process the reimbursement subject to county processing, and file the payables ratification in the official minutes.
