Kim also explained repeated HVAC and electrical trips had caused communications failures in building systems; HVAC contractors recommended further computer‑system work to restore consistent component communication.
On communicable‑disease concerns, Kim said there had been no reported measles cases in the county and reiterated that Illinois continues to require vaccinations for students as part of existing school rules. Board members asked clarifying questions about a delayed Sycamore bill and recent boiler disruptions; Kim said the department had sought itemized clarifications from vendors and was working through remaining mechanical and communications issues.
