Consent agenda: The commission approved minutes from Feb. 17 and accepted multiple administrative items including MOUs for a new trail and trail maintenance/bike programming, the city’s annual audit contract, a certificate of compliance for the Spritz area, purchases and installation of airbag vehicle exhaust removal systems at both fire stations, and an annual Paycom HR and payroll services expenditure beginning in FY27.
Interim judge appointment: The commission approved Ordinance 26-1299 on first reading to appoint Attorney Bridal Haust to preside over Red Bank City Court in Judge Johnny Houston’s absence from March 25 through April 24, 2026. The vote for the appointment carried on first reading; the measure will return for a second reading at the next meeting.
Other first readings: As noted elsewhere, the commission moved Ordinance 26-1300 (rezoning 520 Gadd Road) and Ordinance 26-1301 (rezoning 3390 Easton Avenue) forward on first reading.
Why it matters: These votes finalize routine administrative housekeeping and set the legal and operational steps for court coverage and city contracts; rezoning items will return for final consideration.
