Plymouth officials ask committee to OK special revenue account for land acquisition

The witnesses said the account would provide local control and enable town officials to invest directly in long-term community priorities.
"This legislation will give [Plymouth] the fiscal tools they need to effectively manage their land use in the town and to ensure public needs are being met," one witness said, asking the committee to issue a favorable report.
Committee members did not take formal action on H4887 during the hearing; proponents were recorded as urging committee support.
