Teachers teach students," she said. Superintendent Hart Rodas and Dr. Z explained ESGI is a teacher-administered tool that helps collect and interpret assessment data and provides translation tools for Mandarin and Spanish. The motion carried with three yes votes and one abstention.
Other items approved unanimously included an amendment to the honors Introduction to Engineering course (to meet Citrus College articulation), a memorandum of understanding with California State University, East Bay for internship placements (arranged as virtual placements), and a corrected one-year contract with Inform K12. The board also adopted Resolution 24-25 recognizing October 2024 as Filipino American History Month and ratified district goals focused on math achievement, reducing chronic absenteeism, building multi-tiered supports and closing performance gaps.
