The Kenai Peninsula Borough Assembly on Jan. 20 read and adopted Resolution KPB 7406 commending the Soldotna High School girls wrestling team for winning the 2025 Alaska School Activities Association girls state wrestling championship.
Assemblymember Truesdell read the resolution and listed coaches and athletes by name, noting the team’s third consecutive state title. He and the mayor said they hoped to have a photo with team members, coaching staff and school administration following the meeting.
The resolution takes effect immediately and the assembly recognized individual state placings and coaches in the meeting record.
