In a single roll-call vote the Monrovia Unified Board of Education approved a consent agenda that bundled routine items and then voted individually on several action items.
Actions approved (all motions carried 5-0 unless noted): purchase of 120 HP laptops for Monrovia Community Adult School to support CTE and ESL instruction; ratification of a sub-agreement with Pasadena Area Community College District to host K–12 pathway coordinators (07/01/2025–06/30/2026); a facility-use agreement with the Santa Anita Family YMCA for pool access through Dec. 31; an affiliation agreement with City of Hope to provide 160-hour clinical internships for MCAS medical-assisting students (08/19/2025–05/16/2026); adoption of Resolution 2526-01 to commit portions of general fund balances for 25/26; acceptance of notice of completion for roofing work by Courtney Inc. (IFB23-201) and authorization to file the notice with the county recorder and return a $40,273.52 credit to Measure funds; and approval of new certificated job descriptions (TOSA CTE specialist and district health services supervisor).
Board members voted unanimously on each action. Several trustees praised partnerships that expand student opportunities and thanked staff for moving projects forward.
