Board hears update on potential waterline easement that could affect Diamond Lake School parking and bus access

S5 (Presenter) presented updated renderings and said work on a proposed waterline easement along Diamond Lake Road is ongoing; the board was told a complete financial proposal has not yet been submitted.

S5 (Presenter) described an existing easement signed in 2004 and said the latest proposal appears to move the footprint inside that existing easement and expand the temporary/permanent footprint. "So right along Diamond Lake Road, there's an existing easement there ... that was signed in 2004," S5 said. He added the newest proposal "would really just contain more square footage that would change the financial component of that." The transcript also references an original proposal "from CLC Java" (term appears in the transcript and was not clarified during the meeting).

Board members asked where the easement would intersect the school’s parking area and whether the proposal would include compensation and a timeline. S5 responded the renderings suggest the easement would reach the mouth of the parking entrance and could affect the first parking spot; he said the district expects a full proposal but that a timeline may not be included and that financial terms are the central outstanding issue. "I would say from the blue line right there to the red line would be the mouth of our parking lot," S5 said.

S4 (Staff member) cautioned the current materials show only the district’s parcel and that the full impact (including bus stops and roadway function) may not be reflected. S4 said she would attend the township meeting to gather broader context and share any additional information at the next board meeting.
