The Brentwood Union Free School District Board of Education voted March 5 to approve a slate of administrative appointments, hire an assistant district clerk for the upcoming budget vote and election, and ratify memoranda of agreement with two employee groups.
Among the personnel actions, the board appointed Anna Briones to a three-year probationary term as principal (effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2029), Kathleen Hudsick to a four-year probationary principal term (effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2030), and Robert Peterson to a four-year probationary principal term (effective July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2030). Salaries for those appointments were set under the negotiated agreement between the district and the Brentwood Principals and Supervisors Organization (BIPSO).
The board also appointed Nancy Marie Cox to a four-year probationary period as digital content and website coordinator (effective March 9, 2026, through March 8, 2030) and named Dennis M. Logan assistant district clerk for the 2026 annual budget vote and election at a rate of $500 per day for up to 35 days.
In labor matters, the board ratified a memorandum of agreement dated March 5, 2026, with the Brentwood Teachers Association (BTA) and similarly ratified an agreement with the Brentwood Professional Nurses Association (BPNA). In each case the board authorized the board president to execute a collective bargaining agreement incorporating the MOA terms.
Board motions were made and seconded as listed in the meeting record; the presiding speaker called for the vote and the motions were carried with general assent. The board also approved routine certificated and noncertificated personnel actions and the administrative table of organization as presented in the meeting packet.
Next steps: the effective dates for the principal appointments will begin July 1, 2026, and the board president is authorized to sign contracts incorporating the ratified MOA terms.
