Council Member Boylan pressed staff for context on compensation, saying the proposed salary "seems awfully high to me" and asking whether it was set by market comparisons. Office of General Counsel staff responded that the figure in the document is the incumbent's current salary "as of October 2025" and offered to research how the original salary determination was made and report back to the committee. The transcript contains a garbled figure when the salary was read aloud; OGC did not state an exact number in clear text during the exchange and committed to provide background.
