The commission also approved appointments to the regional community action board: Nicole Beers and Josephine Cooper were nominated and confirmed as Hancock County public-sector representatives.
Near the end of the session Chair (Speaker 1) moved to enter an executive session "as permitted by title 1 section 405 subsection 68" for union contract negotiations with members representing the Hancock County Sheriff’s Office; the motion was seconded and approved by voice vote. No further details of negotiations were disclosed during the public meeting.
