May River High School lacrosse players visited Michael S. (elementary) School to read to students in celebration of Read Across America week, Chloe G. said.
A student who was interviewed (Meeting participant) said the high school readers answered questions and made reading fun: "They had, like, good books. When they were reading, they answer, like, questions about it... I think it's good that they come to spend time with us because they tell us how high school is gonna be." A lacrosse team member (Presenter) added, "I really enjoyed reading the kids because I feel like it's a nice way to, like, connect to the kids and, like, show them it's always good to read."

The Bluffton Rotary Club will host its annual oyster roast at the Bluffton Oyster Factory Park on Friday, March 6, from 4:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Tickets are $45 in advance and $55 at the door; food will include roasted oysters, chili, bratwurst, hot dogs and fries, and beverages will be sold separately. Proceeds will support the Bluffton Rotary Club’s community service work.
The Beaufort County School District’s annual District Dance Festival will bring together elementary, middle and high school dance students to showcase performances. A student (Meeting participant) said, "And, honestly, every single dance here works for anybody who wants to dance."
