Council eyes modest renovations to cemetery house, asks staff for cost estimate

Staff reported the basement and some items (refrigerators) had been cleared and said they would provide a firm cost estimate after a site inspection.
Councilors discussed permanently removing the house versus renovating it for rental or park needs; one member suggested tearing it down and using the parcel for cemetery purposes, while others said an inexpensive renovation to provide restrooms near the main avenue could address recurring needs during events. Council asked the city manager and staff to price the options and return with recommendations during the budget process.
