At a public meeting on March 3, the Northampton County Election Commission elected Sharon Gavin Levy as chair and Scott Hoff as vice chair and set its regular 2026 meeting schedule.
Michael Vargo opened the meeting and, until a chair was chosen, ran nominations. A member nominated Sharon Levy for chair; after a second the commission conducted a voice vote. Michael Vargo announced, "Sharon Gavin Levy is elected as the chair of the Northampton County Election Commission." The chair then opened nominations for vice chair; Scott Hoff was nominated and, following a voice vote, Chair Levy announced that Scott Hoff is the vice chair.
The commission moved to approve minutes from the Nov. 18, 2025 meeting; a member moved, another seconded, and the chair called for the ayes, declaring the motion approved after a voice vote.
The commission reviewed required statutory meeting dates (including June 2, Aug. 4 and Nov. 17) and agreed to add two additional meetings on May 5 and Oct. 20 (two weeks before the primary and a proposed pre‑election meeting) to ensure time to address ballot or process issues. The registrar will advertise the regular meeting schedule and publish dates.
No formal challenges to the leadership votes were recorded. The meeting adjourned after routine new business.
