Derek Snyder of Crossroad Engineers, representing the Clark Pleasant Community School Corporation, described reconfiguration and expansion of a dry detention basin and demonstrated that updated stormwater calculations conform to county release-rate standards for the 2- and 10‑year events. County staff and the surveyor stated the proposed work is consistent with the previously approved master plan for the campus.
Phase 5 includes demolition of the existing maintenance building, construction of an artificial‑turf baseball field, and expansion or reconfiguration of the existing detention basin to meet county stormwater requirements. Board members praised the coordination and engineering work and moved to approve the plans; the motion carried on a voice vote.
The board noted the project aligns with prior waivers granted in earlier phases and expected the contractor and school district to implement the detention changes as shown on the approved plans.
