Ohio County adopts updated emergency operations plan with new cyber annex

Ohio County commissioners voted to adopt an updated Emergency Operations Plan that incorporates a new cyber/cybersecurity incident response annex.

The plan was presented by a county official during the meeting packet review. "So I just have the plans for adoption, the, emergency operations plan for Ohio County," the presenter stated while asking the board to sign the packet and accept the addition of the cyber incident response material.

Commissioner discussion was brief. Speaker 2 moved to adopt the plan; Speaker 1 seconded the motion and the board voted "all in favor." No roll-call tally was recorded in the transcript; the clerk recorded the motion as passed and members were directed to sign the document.

The plan materials in the packet were described as updated to include the cyber response component; staff said they emailed the packet to board members in advance and outlined the signature routing.
