The Cary Town Council voted unanimously on Dec. 11 to annex 0.67 acres at 2220 Jones Franklin Road (case 25 A 08), following a presentation by Principal Planner Erin Puckett and a public hearing with no public speakers.
"The owners of 0.67 acres of property located at 2220 Jones Franklin Road have petitioned Cary for annexation," Erin Puckett said. She explained the parcel is contiguous to Cary, currently in the town's extraterritorial jurisdiction, zoned RMF and developed with one nonconforming detached dwelling. The owners requested annexation to access Cary water due to issues with their existing well.
With no registered speakers and no written comments for the public hearing, a council member moved to approve the annexation and the motion carried unanimously.
