During the public‑comment portion of the Feb. 11 meeting, resident Matt Williams told the council a 2022 town drain installation near 186 Bear Ground Road has left his yard repeatedly flooded.
Williams described repeated attempts to get the town to address the issue — including topsoil and rock placed in the wrong location — and said the ponding is damaging his driveway and lawn mower. He said the work did not conform to the contract’s expectations and requested the town finish the job professionally.
Town staff asked Williams to email photos showing the flooding and damaged areas so staff can investigate and follow up. The town manager acknowledged the complaint, asked for the documentation and said staff would review the contract, the easement and the site conditions to determine corrective steps.
The council did not take immediate action at the meeting but directed staff to examine the documentation and report back.
