Isanti County approves multiple Health & Human Services contract renewals and amendments

Jody, speaking for Isanti County Health & Human Services, told the board that multiple contract renewals and amendments were ready for approval and recommended the board vote on them together after an overview.
She said Avivo’s 2025 work for employment services is federally funded and the contract renewal is for $291,875. “This contract is funded, at the federal level in the amount of $291,875,” Jody said. Jody also described a Canvas Health contract that funds a Child Protection Innovations coordinator, a position she said has helped reduce out-of-home placements. The Canvas Health contract amount presented was $102,489 and is budgeted in the 2026 budget, mostly funded by levy dollars.
Jody explained an amendment to a contract with Ohana Guardianship Services that adds insurance‑waiver language tailored to a very small agency whose managing partners provide direct services; the county attorney reviewed the waiver language. She also recommended renewing a Rise Up reflective‑supervision contract for $4,920 (funded by grants, not levy) and described regional adult mental‑health initiative agreements, including services from Bridging and Lakes and Pines referrals.
A cooperative contract with the Minnesota Department of Children, Youth and Families (child-support division) would reimburse the sheriff’s office $7,245 for civil-process fees and the county attorney’s office $148,454 for representation; a related DHS screening grant item was presented with $7,214 in grant funds. The board moved to approve items 1 through 8 and voted to approve those contract actions.
Next steps: approved contracts will be routed via DocuSign or equivalent approval workflow and executed as budgeted for 2026.
