Rhett was noted as seconding the motion. The chairman called for the voice vote; members answered "Aye" and the chairman declared the motion carried unanimously.
Committee members also engaged in brief procedural remarks about committee 'picks' for the 2026 Rules Committee; the president pro tem said she would reserve her pick of HB117 for a later time. The committee adjourned shortly afterward.
