Commission reviews multiple subdivision plats including Magnolia Estates phase 2

The Lee County Commission considered several subdivision matters during its work session, including a carried-over request for Magnolia Estates phase 2 and new plats for Morales and Sweet Home Estates.

Commissioner Mr. Hardy asked the commission to consider approval of the preliminary plat and construction plans for Magnolia Estates phase 2, saying the development would contain 51 lots on Lee Road 175 near the Crawford area and that "we've not received any complaints or calls or any anything from it." He told the board the item was carried over from the prior meeting and would be brought back for formal consideration.

Mr. Hardy also presented the Morales Subdivision final plat in Commission District 4, describing it as creating three lots with the smallest being 0.85 acres and noting letters had been mailed to adjacent property owners so anyone present at the regular meeting could speak. On Sweet Home Estates (also Commission District 4), Mr. Hardy said phase 1 would create four lots, the smallest 1.94 acres, would use existing road frontage with no new roads, and that no objections had been received to date.

The commission did not take formal action at the work session on any subdivision item; several items were described as being placed on the regular meeting agenda so the public could be recognized. No public commenters or formal objections were recorded during this portion of the session.

What happens next: each plat will return for formal consideration on the commission's regular agenda, where members may vote after any required public notice and comment.
